This is Tourette's

This is me! I want to tell you how I live with annoying, and sometimes PAINFUL; tics that create a lot of stares and judgments. I've never run a blog before, so you'll have to bare with me here... let me begin here... when I was younger, I had a lot of random, involuntary movements in my arms and legs... which got me in a LOT of trouble; because it looked like I was drawing back to swing at someone. What nobody realized; myself included; that I was in for a journey of trials and tribulations with trying to find out what was going on with me. It wasn't until I was 24 years old that I had my first MRI where we found a tumor; which was removed shortly after. Here we are 3 years later... still running tests and trying different medications. Let me tell you that some of the medications I've been on have made things so much worse!! But that hasn't stopped me from doing my thing! I now work a full-time job and have THREE beautiful children; along with  a great and supportive husband; who may post once in a while! I'll leave you with this note; just because someone is jerking, shaking, making odd and random noises; etc... doesn't mean they're on drugs or anything. Also; to end the stigma about "cursing randomly" is not a true and Normal part of Tourette's...
