Did you know that ADHD is often misdiagnosed Tourette's? That they both really go hand in hand?! And sometimes, when you treat a child or adult for ADHD, it often messes them up on the Tourette spectrum? Tic disorders are no joke; no laughing matter... and they should be treated with caution! The wrong treatment can make it WAY WORSE! I can tell you this from personal experience. Had one medication that literally made my tics so bad I couldn't walk. Once I came completely off it, I was fine. Like with anything, though; every treatment is different for every person... just because a specific treatment didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. Now that that is out of the way, I would LOVE to hear stories from more of you who deal with Tourette's as well!
